From the M11
Exit at junction 10, taking the A505 eastbound to Newmarket until it merges with the A11 northbound to Newmarket and Norwich. Stay in the left-hand lane and leave at the next exit (Four Went Ways). At the roundabout take the first exit for the A1307 to Cambridge. Babraham is the first turning on the left after about a quarter of a mile (0.4km). The entrance to The Close is on the right after about 200 yards (180m), opposite The George public house.
From the A1(M)
Take the A505 from Baldock, crossing the M11 at junction 10, then follow the directions above.
From the A14 (west)
Join the A14 southbound at the earliest junction. Follow the A14 until you reach the M11. Leave the M11 after about 9 miles (14.5km), at junction 10. Follow directions from the M11 (above).
From the A14 (east)
From the A14, take the A11 towards London until you reach the Four Went Ways roundabout. Take the last exit for the A1307 northbound to Cambridge. Babraham is the first turning on the left after about a quarter of a mile (0.4km). The entrance to The Close is on the right after about 200 yards (180m), opposite The George public house.
From Cambridge
Take the A1307 signposted to Colchester, past Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The Babraham Institute is located a further three miles (4.8km) outside Cambridge, approximately six miles (9.6km) south-east of the city centre. It’s signposted right from the A1307 and the entrance to The Close is on the right, after about 200 yards (180m), opposite The George public house.
Parking outside the Nursery
Although car parking is restricted at the nursery itself (because we’re situated in a residential area), there are sufficient places to park safely on the approach to the nursery and beyond. Please don’t park on double yellow lines, or block residents’ access or other car park users, and do stick to the 10mph speed limit – it’s there to protect you and your child. Babraham Institute security personnel monitor car parking and carry out random speed checks.
